The micro bloging platform Twitter has created a lot of attention this year with a media frenzy of celebrities mentioning Twitter on their TV shows , and Internet marketing gurus saying that you can use Twitter to create hundreds of followers , the exposure to Twitter is pretty high. You almost certainly know people who are on Twitter and suppliers may have invited you to join them on Twitter . And that last point is what I want to mention today . What are YOU doing about it for yourself?
I don’t think many people understand the Twitter phenomena. And that’s probably because it can mean different things to different people.
Despite what you think of Twitter for yourself, there are opportunities you should deploy and there’s a great FREE training video about that at http://www.TrafficHug.com/twittervideo/ but whatever you do, you should be doing something. The least you’re likely to achieve is a handful of great relationships , ideally with some way of people finding you by your keyword, or your name. Some people will just try to type your name on Twitter and see if you come up.
In other articles we talk about how to get noticed for your keyword and how to manage your account for targeted conversion (also covered well in that free video I mentioned earlier) but let’s do something we can do right now.
Some business owners envision Twitter traffic as coming from within Twitter itself . A concept most Twitter directories promote . But , the advantages of having your existing traffic subscribe to you on Twitter are huge . So enormous that we need to do something about it now .
A very quick solution is to add a Twitter “badge” to your web properties . A badge is a simple graphic saying who you are on Twitter with a link direct to your Twitter identity. In the videos I mentioned earlier , you’ll discover a lot more , but the badge will get our toe in the water for today .
WHERE CAN I GET MY BADGE ?
You can get your own customised Twitter badge at zero cost from this website ;
http://www.TwitterDominator.com/followme_badges.php – FREE Customised Twitter FollowMe Badges .
You simply paste the HTML code it provides in to your website, store, or blog and your customised graphic with active link, will magically appear .
It works great on WordPress blogs as a sidebar Text Widget. I’ve placed one on my own blogs.
It is sealed in its own little HTML DIV tag so should live easily almost anywhere.
If you create a table or div tag to position it in , then you can just paste the code in easily . With WYSIWYG html editors, there is usually an HTML “object” box you can place in the desired location and just place the code in to that. Adobe Dreamweaver users can just insert an AP Layer (from the insert menu) and then paste the code in to that using the HTML code view pane.
Integrating your Twitter page with your existing web properties is an essential strategy. One you can do in the next 10 minutes, with a few mouse clicks,
